“Ekarro” means “good morning” in Yoruba (a West African language) and is used as a friendly greeting.
Ekarro Housing Co-operative Ltd is in the London Borough of Lambeth, providing democratically controlled, high quality, affordable homes for local people in housing need. Ekarro is now a thriving, well-established, well-managed and financially secure Fully-Mutual Housing Co-op and Registered Social Landlord which owns and manages, on co-operative principles, 59 general-needs homes, including 3 disabled-access homes.
As a co-operative, all our tenants are members of the co-op and we are self-managed. The Management Committee is made up of co-op members and we employ staff for the day-to-day management of the business. We are a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation: all surpluses are used to maintain our properties and to acquire more properties.
For our Tenants
This website, whilst containing general information for the public, also has a private area which will be available to all our tenants in due course. Information on how to access the "For Our Residence" section of the website will be sent out very soon. Until then please look around the rest of our site and let us know what you think. |
